Spam as a Second Language

The "Too Long for Twitter" Edition:

"GREETINGS IN THE NAME OF GOD!"

Any god in particular?

YES! BELET-SERI, THE MESOPOTAMIAN RECORDER OF THE DEAD ENTERING THE UNDERWORLD!

Huh...Is that a powerful god--?

VERY!

--because it sounds kind of like a clerical position.

IT'S MOSTLY DATA ENTRY!

Okay...

TO BE HONEST, WE USUALLY FILL THE POSITION WITH TEMP GODS.

  1. I love the spam you get! I've often thought of doing a blog post on my own weird spam. I've gotten some goodies!

And check out my blog's mention in Ellery Queen Magazine! Amazing!

Where's your intrepid reporter, Chris Vosburg, these days? I thought of him recently while watching "Kansas City Confidential" with the inimitable Lee Van Cleef!

  2. Congratulations, Debbi! A well-deserved honor.

And I don't know where Engineer Vosburg has been keeping himself lately. I hope all is well and that he'll pop up with an eyewitness report or an apposite hunk of Hollywood trivia.
