Scenes From a Marriage: Part 12

MARY: (Returning from the grocery store) We're going to have a delicious dinner on Thanksgiving.

SCOTT: I'm looking forward to it.

MARY: And it's a 10 pound turkey so we're gonna have another delicious dinner on, uh ... What do you call the day after Thanksgiving?

SCOTT: I think it's called Kickboxing Day

(PAUSE)

MARY: We'll go with that.

It also marks the begining of the boor-huntine season. Get out your boor spear, leash up your boorhounds, and it's off to Washington DC!

May your Thanksgiving be tasty and thankworthy, Scott and Mary, and everybody eose here too.

Some of best kicks I ever had arrived in a box ... or at least, a plain brown wrapper.

What L'il said, in spades. Although in my case the joy is tempered somewhat by the knowledge that I have, at a minimum, six years of Senator Marsha Blackburn to look forward to. It's gonna take a lot of skewering by the Dems to mitigate that pain.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable day of excess. We certainly intend to do unspeakable things to that young turkey that's thawing in the fridge.
