Tired of hearing your racist uncle pontificate over the giblets then holiday? Then plug in your earbuds and settle back with some baby blue milk and cookies for a highly Star Warsy episode of The Slumgullion. This time Jeff and Scott are joined by the New Movie Crew (i.e., Mary and the Voices of the Better Living Through Bad Movie: The Audiobook, John and Blanche) for a cheerful, no-spoilers-barred autopsy of Rogue One.
[Note: This show was recorded before Carrie Fisher's recent health problems, and there's one, maybe two jokes in there we'd really appreciate if you'd overlook. Thanks.]
And check back later today for our Annual World O' Crap Bad Christmas Movie Spectacular.

Sweet Blood of Jesus but Star Wars is awful. I DVR'd the first six episodes when TNT was running them to build anticipation about the new load, & have watched all but the last one.
Inane, clichéd & just fucking awful.
1-3 are awful (we beat them to a bloody pulp in Better Living Through Bad Movies, and it still didn't ease the pain. The first film (which is now the 4th -- the original STAR WARS) is, in my opinion, good pulpy fun. I think The Empire Strikes Back is quite good; Return of the Jedi is abysmal. The Force Awakens is a retread of #4, but again, I found it fun. But while Mary watched the TNT marathon, I freely admit that I can't watch any of them on commercial TV; the seams and blemishes stand out more with commercials, somehow.
Another outstanding Slumgullion. After today's news, I'm rethinking my plans to see Rogue One again this week. That last scene would destroy me.
The first two films were the best. After Gary Kurtz left, they became two hour toy commercials.
Not much to say. Just going to remember the tough beautiful woman with the biting wit.
A fitting epitaph, Doc.
And thanks for listening and commenting. We really appreciate it.
