I once read an account of a very small bird - a wren or some such - riding on the back of a large owl in flight. The writer assumed the little one was exhausted - I think it was during a storm.
In this case according to BuzzFeed, the hitcher is a baby weasel trying for a meal of woodpecker. The woodpecker shook the little predator off after landing in front of the photographer, but not before he got this amazing shot.

I'm...Speechless.
Suddenly I also believe in fairies. What an amazingly delightful photo.
They told us this would happen when they let two men get married!
"I won't bite you. That frog and scorpion thing is just a fairy tale!"
